Customer Ratings & Reviews

This oven has a modern look and sports modern electronics that assist you if you are moving from the traditional baking oven to the convection oven (more on that later) The oven sits in a kitchen with black granite inlaid with brown and brings a touch of class to the kitchen. The electronics lay flat across the front (no reaching over burners to set the oven or turn on a burner) and are overlaid with glass. this makes the display (for the oven) easy to read and easy to clean. The touch screen controls operate just like your phone; touch the glass and the controls respond. I find that I like this better than the controls that have a membrane that can deteriorate over time. Their are four burners of various sizes. The two small burners are in the back and the smallest does a nice job at simmering. I use it to reduce sauces and I find that the lowest setting offers just enough flame to do the job. Cooking with large pots/pans and quickly bringing oil or water to the temperature you want is not a problem with the large burners at the front. The burner control knobs also are up front above the oven door and are well made. If you pull one off you can tell they are hefty and the center slot that takes the torque when you turn the burners on looks well supported so I do not fear that it will split over time. An iron grate that hinges at the back lays over the burners. This seemed nicer in the store. Once installed, I realized that for my layout, I would not be able to flip the grates (one on the left and one on the right) all the way up while cleaning because they would hit the over the oven microwave well before they could balance at an open position. No worries though as the grates can be removed easily as well. My only negative observation related to the grates at this point is that, while using smaller pans on the back burner (like a small frying pan or sauce pan), I find that the pans can tilt if you try to center them over the burner because the spacing of the grates for each burner have too large a space before the next section of the grate (see photo). Now, for you techies out there you will love how Whirlpool has brought baking into modern times. pressing the home button will bring up a two option menu. Cooking Method or Assisted Cooking. Cooking Method allows you to quickly choose your broil, bake, convection, warm, etc. options. For those who have baked for years this is a great option. The second option is the assisted cooking menu and... well... I think you can read the literature so I can keep my review shorter. Suffice it to say that it will "step" you through a series of questions to determine just the right amount of time to cook a plethora f foods. I have used the oven about six times over the last month and love the bake to convection conversion the oven does for me. Hooking it up to your cell phone is a cool feature, but I would rate the usefulness of this more a novelty than a truly useful addition. I will say one thing about it though. I do like the idea of having the oven send me alerts that my timer is completed if I set it at the oven. But for now, I find that I stick with my old habits and just ask my phone to set a timer. The cavity of the oven sports three adjustable racks. It's too new for me to comment about cleaning. I have used the broiler to cook beacon and find that it preformed that task well. It has done terrific in the convection mode making the casseroles and a cake come out perfectly browned. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this oven. It is well made, looks fantastic, has modern features, and most importantly, performs well.

Love this range, but there are somethings that I have to get use to. - First you have to LOCK the Touch control for the ove when you are cleaning it because you will activate the oven it by accident. - Also be very careful that you don't touch the controls by accident when cooking because you can accidently turn it off. I have downloaded the Whirlpool app on my phone as well as synced it up to my Echo Show. Love this feature. I was a little challenging to set up with Alexa. If you are having issues setting it up DO NOT call AMAZON call WHIRLPOOL. Amazon had me on the phone for almost an hour and still couldn't solve. Called Whirlpool and it was synced in 3 mins. The sleek look is a excellent add to my kitchen!

The stove and oven are amazing and beautiful. The sleek design and flat gas top look high end but don’t cost nearly as much. All of our black stainless suite of appliances have completely upgraded our kitchen. Note: it took 8 months for this range to be delivered. Supply chain delays!!! Best Buy service calls throughout the process were confusing, misinformed us at times and set dates multiple times that never came through. The store personnel locally were the most helpful and finally we received the final appliance. We purchased this in August of 2020 and it arrived end of January 2021.

It was time to Replace my old stove. When I found my new Whirlpool Slide-In Range in a Best Buy ad. I went to my local Best Buy to get some questions answered and bought the Stove before leaving.

We are very pleased with the Whirlpool range. We paid for the install and removal of the old Samsung range. The app and alerts are a nice feature. Basically has all the options you would need.

I recommend this stove since it has what one really needs and even more so if it is from the best Best Buy store

I wish this range didn’t look as nice as it did because that is about the only thing it has going for it. I’m not sure if it was installed incorrectly or if it was manufactured incorrectly but the oven would not preheat. A sales associate with best buy scheduled an appointment for geek squad to come take a look at it just to find out that whirlpool needs to service their own appliances within the first year. Took almost a month of having it before we could actually use the oven. After waiting 4 months to get it because Best Buy has a serious issue with their online scheduling. Next time will definitely skip on the good looks and technology for something that is reliable.

I like my new gas stove, the best brand I greatly recommend.

Looks beautiful in my kitchen. It all fits perfectly as you see in the pictures love it thank you.

This stove has all the bells and whistles! Can’t wait to really put it to the test!

This Slide-In Range makes me want to create great meals. We tiled the back and side walls with small pale yellow tiles and blue grout, so the slide-in effect is just beautiful. The grill that covers the entire top surface, gives the feel of what an expert chef must feel, and it is liberating. The touch panel is modern.

Temperature of the oven seems to be true, everything so far has cooked per instructions. Looks good with all the upgraded appliances. Only had it for about 2 months now so we’ll see. Good price at Best Buy.

I think it is important to point out that this is a recent purchase, so it is difficult to rate it with much confidence. (My previous stove was a highly rated Maytag which was also started off very promisingly... 5 years later and the oven's igniter went bad for the second time - my refusal to pay for that repair again is what prompted this purchase...) So, fingers crossed and hoping for a better outcome this time. Anyway, so far it has been a nice change - wasn't sure if we would but, I must admit, we use the app to preheat the oven often and it has saved a lot of time. The center griddle is also a great feature especially for making grilled cheese, it could be perfect if it was a little wider - can't cook the standard batch of 6 pancakes at a time - but I can live with that, because I definitely prefer cooking them over a flame than on the electric griddle. So, I guess I will update this if the need arises - but otherwise, feel free to assume I am still quite happy...

I like this stove but don’t love it. It cooks well and looks nice however the quality of the stove is not what I was hoping for. My main dislike is having the clock on the glass panel that you can’t see unless you are standing at the stove. Minor complaint. I would recommend it.

I love the oven but the black stainless shows scratches and seems difficult to clean. I love the assisted cooking and convection options. I also love the sleekness. Would not recommend for a home with small children though as the knobs are accessible to toddlers. I love that it is in sync with my phone and let’s me know when it is preheated, done cooking, etc. not very happy with the self-cleaning option.

This slide-in replaced a late model Whirlpool stainless steel double oven during a kitchen remodel. The oven itself is true to temperature, and with the convection and quick preheat features along with the size of the oven, it has made baking a delightful task. The cooktop puts out a lot of BTUs for boiling and sauteing, and and relatively easy to clean with the way the wrought iron grill lifts, through the grates are a bit challenging to degrease using a sponge. The middle griddle burner appears to be a little underpowered, and it doesn't really heat the included griddle through its whole surface area. Perhaps that's by design. The software running the oven controls has been a little buggy. It'll occasionally reset when buttons are mistakenly pressed, and any moisture or buildup on the console can make selecting options difficult. Since I'm a messy cooker, it happens pretty often. As for Wifi setup and the Alexa/Google integration, it's been a challenge to get that configuration right using the accompanying Whirlpool app, but I haven't really found a need to preheat or change the oven temperature from somewhere else in the house. To me, this oven provides an 'internet of things' solution looking for a problem, and it could probably benefit from more solid updates to the firmware and/or the app, or just a better study of human factors.

Great product for the money spent. It really upgraded the look of out rental and gave the tenants a nice stove to enjoy.

My wife and I absolutely love this range, we did lots of research on other products and are thrilled with our decision. We needed something thatwas going to be strong and durable as we love to cook. It has great range of heat on all the burners and an awesome oven. Finally it's very easy to clean especially with the the lift up grates.

Just got the unit and it looks beautiful. Everything seems to be OK except the center burner doesn’t really look right. The flame comes up as a big blob so I don’t know if it’s a defect or what. But I don’t like it.

I spared no expense on new appliances for my new house. I bought this range in stainless on 9/28/22. I was broiling the other day and, since the door was open, the knobs melted showing a cheap, shriveled plastic coating covering the knobs. This should not happen on a stove coating over $2000. I am very disappointed at the ultra-low quality of these parts. Whirlpool Customer Service refused to replace the knobs even though there was no warning about this problem and the range was under normal use. They cost $60 each. Outrageous
