XFX - Speedster MERC310 AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX 24GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Gaming Graphics Card - Black

I compared this GPU with several other 7900XTXs online beefier massing my purchase. At the time, there weren't any in stock at my local MC, and Best Buy only carried this card and Gigabyte's variant. The XFX had overall great reviews so I decided to get it. First: It's a long card. I had to move my front radiator to the top of my case. This is not a complaint, as I took measurements before I bought the card and was prepared for that. It's not as fat as other cards, either. - It's pretty quiet. The only stock case fan in my build seems to be louder than the 3 fans on this GPU at load. - It runs very cool compared to my previous 6900XT. At the same fan curve the XFX 7900XTX is easily 15-20 degrees cooler than my previous GPU. During gaming I'm averaging about 55-65 degrees on the GPU and 70-75 junction temps. - This is a solid 4k GPU, and i only play at 1440p, so it demolishes everything I play with ease. I really don't have any cons. It's s great GPU.

GREAT CARD FOR THE PRICE I have been looking for GPU Card for sometime but did not want to pay over a grand for one. I did some research and finally settled on this one. This blows my old 1080 out of the water. It can plan Forza Horizon 5 on max settings with not issue. I will be testing it on Starfield when it is released. It is a large card so make sure you have the room. Also it is a heavy card and it does come with a support but you may want to get an additional support to hold it in place.

Anyone talking about pulling over 400 watts and the games crashing has over clocked/under volt and has unstable settings and clearly doesnt know what they are doing and it’s best to ignore their stupidity. I am new to the oc/uv world but actually did my research on how to properly do it and have had zero issues. Any good guide you follow should tell you that oc/uv isnt a one setting works for everything. This card does lack in ray tracing but imo, if you want good ray tracing, you buy the 4090 or wait until next gen like myself because the 4090 struggles doing it in fortnite, which is the new unreal engine 5 meaning any new games coming are going to be taxing for even the 4090 if you want to run the game maxed out. Also, if youre like me and mainly play COD, this is the best card at any resolution or settings. 1440/4k ultra settings itll get higher fps than the 4090. So, this generation is as bad as the last generation when it comes to cost. I previously spent $1k on a 6700 XT; which was a "deal" considering the mining tax at the time. I then picked up the 6900 XT after the mining crash for $700 and they are both fantastic GPUs. The 6700 XT is really a 1440p card, but Shines @4k with FSR 2.x turned on. The 6900 XT is twice the card and can handle native 4k/60 at max settings as well. This all makes perfect sense and again I would highly recommend either of those GPUs at their current prices based on the performance and VRAM capacity you're getting. Admittedly, AMD's GPUs don't run "traditionally RTX geared Ray Tracing" as well as the newer RTX 4080 or 4090, but they do just as well or better in newer ray tracing games; as can be seen in Fortnite using unreal engine 5. This card is hundreds of dollars less than an RTX 4080 and it has way more memory; which we are going to need considering even some of today's UE4 games use 17GB with maxed out settings at 4k. It's also almost $1k less than an RTX 4090 and literally trades blows with that GPU in most of the games I own. It's just incredibly fast and will age like fine wine (again and as will AMD's 6xxx series GPUs) as Ray Tracing moves from its current mish mash state to a more refined model in UE5. The Huge number of AAA games coming out over the next 5-10 years that will use UE5 is Staggering. I had no need to swap out my case (This 7900 XTX is only slightly longer than the 6900 XT as you can see), or my 850w power supply. This card takes 3x8pin power plugs and does suck down a fair amount of juice, but the performance is simply extraordinary and I cannot stress enough the Long Term Value vs Nvidia's current offerings. If the 4080 had 20-24GB of VRAM and only cost $200 more, maybe. That said, this card still beats it easily in rasterization (aka most games) and with FSR it's also easily capable of just powering through the current RT implementations. I would have considered a 4090 as well, but it would need to be no more than a $300 premium over this. That's partially bc it would have required a brand new $200 PSU to boot. All in all I'm absolutely in love with this card specifically. As with the XFX 6700 XT and 6900 XT the cooling solution is Over Engineered to handle way more than is necessary. This results in amazingly high clock speeds and shockingly low temperatures. As Happy as I am with this GPU now, I cannot wait to see all of the new UE5 games coming in this year and in the decade to follow. Grab yourself one of these if you can!
