This unsettling supernatural horror film centers on an artist who believes isolation will unlock his creativity. Instead, the remote Texas farmhouse he inhabits with his family becomes a conduit for violence and possession. Ethan Embry plays the tortured painter whose work seems shaped by a malevolent past presence, embodied with chilling force by Pruitt Taylor Vince. The film favors a creeping dread over jump scares, allowing atmosphere, guilt, and grief to do the damage. A grim, art-driven descent into obsession.
