Zachary Cale - Duskland - VINYL LP

George Orwell once prophesized, Inchif you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.Inch The latest EP from L'Orange & Mr. Lif, The Life and Death of Scenery, conceives a chimerical Inchlighthearted dystopiaInch just far enough from modernity to breathe easily, but close enough to make you consider relocating to that cave in the forest. In this collaboration with the eccentric North Carolina producer, L'Orange, Lif imagines an adjacent future called the Inchlast society,Inch where culture has been obliterated and survival has taken precedence over art. In L'Orange's words, the collaboration is Incha negotiation of influences without compromise.Inch You can hear the producer's trademark alchemy of classic boom-rap with glitchy fuzz, a compressed whimsy that slaps against somber scythe-like piano lines, ominous spaghetti western licks, and celestial saxophone licks. Skywriting is the latest full length album from Zachary Cale, primarily recorded at Black Dirt Studio by Jason Meagher in upstate New York. As Cale's seventh studio record, Skywriting takes on a new focus for the seasoned songwriter, pivoting to more of a band-focused rock album. Inspired by many years on the road, the songs that make up the album depict characters in a state of perpetual motion, or better yet a constant state of becoming. The gamble and sacrifice that one makes in pursuit of their art is felt in just about every line. Many of the songs reflect on time spent traveling between cities, being away from loved ones, introspective moments in motel rooms, green rooms, and long stretches of highway. Album Tracks 1. Miles Ahead, Miles Behind 2. Cursed Spot 3. If I Knew the Name 4. Come on Easy 5. Sandcastles 6. Spirit Drive 7. Green Screen 8. Bigger Picture 9. Page By Page

Next Year's Ghost is the new album from New York based multi-instrumentalist Zachary Cale. The project sees Cale opt for a more somber piano-driven sound, stemming from a period of prolonged isolation. This collection of songs has a more meditative quality as the tracks ebb and flow, often stretching beyond the five minute mark. The record was made with producer Shahzad Ismaily, who has remained a staple in the NYC experimental music scene over the years. Album Tracks 1. Heart of Tin 2. Fragile Line 3. House on Fire 4. My Mutineer 5. Doom Loop 6. Shatterstar 7. Beyond Belief 8. Rough Devotion
