Best mid-range budget laptop on the market!
I've had this laptop about a month now and I am pleased as can be. Don't let Youtube reviews fool you, the 4 core i7 processor can handle modern gaming and doesn't bottleneck the RTX 3070 GPU. I play many games, Battlefield V and Far Cry 5 being among them. I use ultra presets and receive 60-80 FPS between the two titles and even higher FPS when using dGPU mode to play on an external monitor (more on that later!) My temps don't reach over 80 degrees celcius and I don't see CPU utilization over 80% (BFV being the most demanding) while GPU utilization sits between 55% and 98% depending on what title I'm playing. GPU power consumption while plugged in is a constant 80 watts. Back to dGPU mode. After setting up your laptop, you can reboot while holding down F2 to enter BIOS and then press F7 to enter the advanced options menu. Under this menu you should see an option for HDMI settings. Selecting dGPU mode allows you bypass Nvidia Optimus while using an external screen (external keyboard needed) and greatly boost your FPS. I saw an increase in BFV of about 45FPS with Ultra Presets along. Thats about 115-120 FPS on this 85w GPU. All in all this a great buy, my only complaint is battery life. I think I average around 2 1/2 hours fully charged with battery saver mode enabled, but it isn't a big deal seeing as how I have it plugged in 90% of the time. If you decide to follow suit make sure to go into the MyAsus settings and change your battery charging settings to 60% to increase battery longevity.

Great for non-VR gaming
Great laptop, but does not work for steam VR (index). There is not mini display port, nor a thunderbolt that draws enough power. Ultimately returned because it didn't support VR. Other then VR the laptop is a beast and would have wanted this over my alienware.

Great Laptop. Good for gaming and coding
I've had this laptop for almost a year now and have loved every second of using it. It runs fast and gets the job done; I have played a few games on it and they run smooth and great. I recently have begun getting into software engineering as well and it holds up really well while I do so. I always keep it plugged in and use the option to never have the battery fully charged so that the battery doesn't get ruined if I ever decided to take it off the charger. It doesn't have a webcam which can be seen as a con if you need to use zoom or anything, but there are many good external webcam options online that are not too expensive.
