Good computer
Great computer but the touchpad does take a lot of pressure from your finger before it clicks. This doesn’t matter though if you just use the touch screen or tap to click like me.

Good performance, good sound, a tad pricey
Actually would have given 4.5 stars if an option.... The keyboard feel and travel is very good, and back light is great addition with different levels. Had a laptop from a different manufacturer with similar specs - but had silver keyboard - somewhat difficult to see, so the dark backlit keys are certainly a plus. The narrow bezels keep the overall size to a minimum. Construction and fit / finish are excellent. Screen color / brightness is good - with a very minimal amount of light bleed in some areas of the edge on a dark screen. Screen touch function works well. Sound was good - and through headphones, excellent. Performance was very snappy, boot time extremely quick, updates went smoothly. Even though only 2GB dedicated video, runs many action / 3D games well. However, it does heat up under the load. I have not seen any "throttling back" but would advise a cooler when running games. The "NumberPad" is a neat touch, but so far haven''t been utilizing it, so cannot vouch for how handy it could be. Maybe quite useful or some.... Battery life is so-so, seems average - around 5 to 6 hours depending on what is running and settings. Blue tooth paired and worked well. There are a few negatives with the computer.... A bit pricey - a little more than some competitors with similar specs. Technical support is not good. The first contact will be off shore - sometimes difficult to understand, reading from "script" for common issues, but not able to answer highly technical issues. However, this seems to be the "new norm" with many manufacturers. Overall, still an awesome machine more than capable of all day to day tasks, multitasking, and moderate gaming in a fairly compact form factor.

Powerful, decent price. Surface Pro replacement
I was replacing a Surface Pro 3 that went belly up after 5 years. I needed a machine that would handle video editing tasks along with graphics apps running simultaneous applications such as Photoshop, Snagit and After Effects, plus lots of browser windows and Office apps. I wanted a slightly bigger screen on the unit, though I have a large 4K monitor at my desk. The first Zenbook I brought home had a defective micro-SD slot, so returned for exchange. I've been very happy since--this machine has dealt well with everything I've throw at it so far. Battery life is excellent--PROVIDED you do all the updates (Asus BIOS updates as well as Windows update). I did install Notebook FanControl because there was excessive fan noise--but I suspect this is before I got all the updates installed. That hasn't been a problem in any case (others have mentioned fan noise on these and similar models). The only feature that's a little twitchy sometimes is the touchpad keyboard. I've used it and it's definitely handy when you're keying numbers into the calculator. The touch sensitivity varies, however, so (particularly in the first machine I brought how), it's not really possible to verify that you've entered a number because there's no tactile feedback. Unless you look at your screen, of course, but that detracts from the usefulness of a keypad, doesn't it? Not a big deal for me. The keyboard is excellent--I realized how I'd been conditioned to the decent but inferior Surface keyboard. Overall, I'm happy with this unit and saved about $700 over the equivalent Surface Pro. I added a 512GB microSD card so now the machine packs a TB of storage.

Great speed for everyday tasks
It does things quickly. I'm happy with processor speed and the graphics card. It plays games like League of Legends without lag. I'm happy with the stylus though I don't use it much. (For those that can't get it to work out of the box, disassemble the stylus and take out the plastic sheet between batteries and contact point.) The touch screen works well. The outputs are adequate. There's no Thunderbolt, but I don't need one. The size of the laptop is great considering the power. Tip: I got it on sale in November, probably the best time to buy a laptop for a good price.

Very Happy... Finally!
So, I feel like I have searched high and low before finally settling on this wonderful laptop. The Asus- Zenbook Flip 14" is amazing! I have literally tested out 9 laptops over the last month before feeling like the the Zenbook is my true companion. I tried the 13 and 15 inch gem cut HP. I tried the Lenovo 14" i7/512gb, a couple times, I even tried the 15.6 Asus, but non compared to this one. I wanted something lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, i7, at least 512gb and 16gb RAM under the hood. Oh yeah, and with a lot of ports. The port thing is what ultimately sold me. I know Asus is known for their game laptops, but I'm not a gamer, but I wanted premium hardware in a small frame and I got it. The Asus Flip is fast, reboots quickly, has two legacy usb 3.1 ports, a usb-c and HDMI ports as well as a micro sd card slot. It has everything I need to get my work done. Great work, Asus! The only thing that is missing, and for me it's not a huge deal, is a toggle switch for the camera to turn the privacy on and off. It seems like all of the other laptops in this class has that feature. If you are looking for fast, with the ports, lightweight in a good design, the Asus Zenbook Flip 14" is for you.
