The Birdfy Hummingbird Feeder is great!
I purchased the Birdfy hummingbird feeder from Best Buy at the beginning of May as part of Birdfy’s “mystery shopper” program. May is the start of hummingbird season in my area. I have other Birdfy products – bluebird houses with cameras – that I really like, so I was looking forward to using this feeder. The feeder itself was very easy to put together and set up. Since I already had the Birdfy app and knew how to add devices, I was up and running in a matter of minutes (after charging it overnight). Even if you have never had one, set up is straight forward and relatively painless. The battery lasts a long time. I have had it up for two weeks now and the battery is still at 65%. Battery life can be checked in the app. The charge might last even longer, but I initially forgot to adjust the motion sensitivity, and the camera was picking up every fluttering leaf in the background for the first few days, possibly running the battery down a bit. The feeder holds approximately 1 cup of liquid. It is a very easy way to watch hummingbirds from afar or to view them in person because of the notification of their presence at the feeder. This feeder inadvertently might have saved numerous bird lives. The very first bird to visit wasn’t a hummingbird but a house finch with a growth on its head – a sign of a possibly contagious disease. Consequently, I removed my feeders, disinfected them, etc., to rectify the situation. I do not believe I would have noticed the bird at my regular, no-camera feeders. In a very short time, hummingbirds started to visit the feeder. I have had both a male and a female ruby-throated hummingbird become regular visitors. An immature downy woodpecker has visited once also. The camera is fantastic, capturing the birds both sitting and feeding and in flight. The ruby throat is very bright in the images. The resolution and focus are very good. Pros- (1) easy to set up, (2) easy to clean and refill, (3) rechargeable – don’t need to run cables inside, don’t need to change batteries, etc. Also, it can be connected to a solar panel to charge without removing the feeder, (4) very long battery life, (5) price point seems fair for a video system feeder, (6) very clear and in focus videos, (7) ability to share individual videos with others even without the app (8) ability to share the whole experience with others if they download the app, (9) can have multiple Birdfy devices easily accessible in the app, (10) built in ant barrier that works well, (11) Nicely designed, aesthetics-wise. Cons- (1) can be sensitive to movement not a bird – wind-blown trees, people walking in the background - this is adjustable and maybe I just haven’t got the correct setting yet to completely exclude the extraneous movements, (2) Can’t control the frequency of notifications – If you forget like me and have it set to very high sensitivity or have frequent visitors, you will get notifications every 5 minutes about movement at the feeder. The only choice you have is either on or off. (3) some aspects of the app might be slightly confusing and require a trip to the website for instructions, such as how to share videos with specific individuals that have the Birdfy app. Overall, I highly recommend the Birdfy hummingbird feeder. It is a fun and easy way to observe hummingbirds up close. See the attached pictures for a sample of the hummingbirds and the downy woodpecker.

Easy setup and easy to use. Hummingbirds love it!
Ordered on Monday and received on Friday (5 days ahead of schedule!!) Setup and installed on Saturday. Setup was super easy . I already have a regular Birdfy feeder and this one works with the existing app so I was already familiar with it. I hung the feeder with the supplied hardware with no issues. It's actually a fairly robust system. When filled there were no leaks and it's easy to tell how much syrup is left in the feeder. Humming took to it immediately! I had video of one within minutes is hanging it up! So far it's great! I love the ease of setup and use and might have to buy one for a couple of gifts in the near future!

Fabulous!
This is such a great addition to my birdy setup in the yard. Hummingbirds are generally too fast to really see, so this awesome little feeder provides unprecedented access to view and appreciate them. The device and app setup are both super simple. Highly recommend!

Fantastic product
We absolutely love this product. There are a few things to note though. It takes a very long time to recharge (close to 10 hours) but it lasts for about 3-4 weeks between charges depending on didgeridoo settings. If it is a windy day, it will report activity when birds are not present as the unit rocks in the wind. You can adjust the sensitivity that helps some, Also, you can extend the time between when the unit can record (2 minutes-5 or other amount of time) to help reduce notifications on windy days.

Birdfy has the best feeder app, period!
So excited to add this to my other Birdfy feeders. I researched a lot of different camera feeder brands and Birdfy was the hands down winner. This seamlessly added to my WiFi, but note that you must have 2.4ghz for all of these camera feeders. My WiFi is able to broadcast 2.4 and 5.0ghz so I don’t have an issue with connectivity. I took one star off just for clarity of the image. It’s not quite as clear as my other 2 cameras. So excited to see my new visitors!
