I went from 4 burners to this 5-burner cook top. I cook extensively and so this gets heavy use. I'm writing this review after using this for about 2 months. Functionality is great, the burners and BTUs are excellent. I like that the knobs are in the front so I have much more room for big pots and pans. BUT, for some reason the grates have lost their luster, and the burner tops are turning red around the edges (see pictures.). So although I've only had this for about 2 months, its starting to look like I've had it for much longer. I have been cleaning it according the instructions in the manual, but I can't bring the original luster back. I understand over time a cook-top loses its sheen, but I did not expect it to lose it this quickly. Not sure if I got a defective part or what. Its bothersome to me because all my other stainless steel appliances can be cleaned and wiped back to a shine, but not the case with this cook top. I can't even get rid of the water spots. Its starting to look like it belongs in an industrial-level kitchen now. The grates look worn out and scratched up even though they are dishwasher-safe. If I had known this was going to happen I probably would have purchased a different 5-burner cook top. I'm in the process of renovating my kitchen and have updated all my appliances to pristine stainless steel pieces, but this has been a disappointment. I'm giving it 3 stars because FUNCTIONALITY is good, but its not good if you want to keep your kitchen looking clean and shiny after using it and cleaning it. Some people may not care about this aspect, but its important to me.

We purchased this to replace our GE 4 burner and this thing is awesome! I love having 5 burners and it works so well. It’s also very simple and pretty.

The packaging was adequate, unpackaging was uncomplicated. Instructions were easy to follow. Installation was hassle- free, and burner preadjustment from factory was sufficient. Operation in the first couple weeks is flawless.

Looks great out of the box, clean and shiny, burners are powerful. However, after a little use, the real problems emerge: 1. Burner control knobs, although metal, are pot metal and dent easily, ruining the paint and appearance. Never had this problem on my 20 year old Jennair cook top. 2. Regulators are poorly designed. Most of the flame adjustment occurs within a short span. A majority of the turning does nothing, making flame adjustment difficult. 3. The rubber bumpers/feet disintegrate and crack after a few months use, leaving the metal grate resting on the cook top surface and gouging it.
