Changes to Geek Squad® Protection
We hope you're enjoying peace of mind knowing your product is covered by your Geek Squad Protection plan. Effective December 8, 2025, your plan’s Obligor and Administrator will be Assurant. Specifically, it will be Federal Warranty Service Corporation in all states and Puerto Rico, except Florida and Oklahoma. In Florida it will be United Service Protection, Inc., and in Oklahoma it will be Assurant Service Protection, Inc. These companies all operate under the trade name Assurant.*
What you value about the plan remains unchanged
- Your coverage continues without interruption or action on your part.
- Your plan and its provisions, including the term, benefits, exclusions, limits and any applicable service fees will remain the same.
- You can review your coverage at BestBuy.com/PlanTerms. Select "Protection," then the appropriate protection plan type for your covered product.
- You'll continue to reach out to Best Buy directly for support.
