The size and form factor are great. The speaker takes up very little space in a bag or can even squeeze into your pocket. The kickstand it great, allowing for the thin profile when not in use. The build looks and feels premium. Pretty solid. The leather on the back is a great touch. The sound quality is very clear and can get fairly loud. The bass is minimal as to be expected at this size. However, the sound is big enough to be satisfying in a normal sized room, office or apartment. You can't expect to "feel" the sound from such a small device. The battery charging feature is nice to have. Using the speaker as a battery pack will quickly drain the unit but still great to have. One feature that I would like to have would be the battery level indicator on my iPhone. Most speakers these days will show you the battery level of the speaker in the status bar on your iPhone. This one does not. Not a big deal but an update would be nice. Speaker phone feature sounds good on both ends of the call. Overall great product.

Love, love, love this little speaker system. The sound is excellent for my purposes and it is extremely portable because it is so small. Easy to use. The only negative thing I would say is the sound might not be loud enough if you were trying to use it at a noisy beach, or gigantic ballroom. But I use it at a Senior Center, in a large space, and the sound is outstanding for my tastes and definitely loud enough. I actually hook my old iPod Nano to this small speaker with a special purchased cord, because my iPod doesn't have bluetooth connection; other times I connect the speaker via bluetooth to my iPhone. One charge of the speaker lasts about 6 hours, altho it takes a bit of time to recharge. I also plan to play my flute along with accompanying CD music with this speaker. It can also be used as a speaker phone for your smartphone. Very versatile because of its small size/portability and great sound.

I bought this Harmon Kardon - Esquire mini speaker for my son-in-law for a gift. He is a pilot and so I needed something light that packed well in his bag. He loves it! Excellent sound that is balanced and clear. It is small, so of course the bass is not huge, although it is adequate and does sound nice. Highly recommended.

I must say that I am very impressed with this product, however, there a are a fair share of pros and cons. To start, a definite plus with this product is its clarity, and I am a true fan of clarity. This little tiny speaker is very loud and clear when it comes to music, as it is expected considering it is made by Harman Kardon. This speaker is very loud and clear for its size but bass is minimal. Although it is expected for bass to be minimal in this tiny size, it still does produce as much as you would expect from such a small speaker box. Do not get me wrong, this speaker does produce low tones as well as high tones, however, it is not going to please a bass lover; to be so small though, I don't think that a bass lover would even purchase this product because it would be impossible to produce actual bass with such a small size... In summary, I think this product does exactly what it is supposed to do, and that is to produce music at a very loud volume with the greatest clarity possible. After all, it is Harman Kardon, so it does perform exactly how you would expect. It is also very convenient, allowing you to charge your phone off of its extra long battery life. Overall, I would say that it is superior in sound quality, lacks bass (as to be expected), and is very very convenient on the go!!! I would honestly purchase this product again and again! Go Harman Kardon!!!!

I needed a very portable Bluetooth speaker that sounded good, and after reading quite a few reviews and talking to friends, I chose the Harman Kardon Esquire. Having traveled as part of my job for nearly 20 years, I was also searching for a good Power Bank to recharge my iPhone while on the road. Turns out, the Esquire is a great solution for both! It's small, sounds and looks great, pairs easily using Bluetooth, and has a built-in "kickstand". Best of all, when my phone needs a little boost, I just plug it in to the Esquire and recharge. One other feature I love - the Esquire has a series of LED lights on the edge indicating remaining battery life. My only complaint is the lack of accessories - no travel bag or case, and the USB cord is a rubbery "ribbon" style and doesn't roll up very well. There's no actual AC adapter, but you can use any adapter that accepts a USB connection - like those come with most cell phones. The Esquire comes in several different colors, and I chose Gold simply because it's easier to see in my black computer bag. Overall, I highly recommend this product.
