I lost my shine twice after it fell out of the standard rubber strap which does not hold it securely. This band is much more secure. I didn't like the leather strap, so I replaced it with a 16 mm wide nylon military-style watch strap. Now I can keep the Shine on at all times. The nylon strap dries quickly after showers. The look and feel is perfect!

The Misfit Shine fits snugly into the wristband. It snaps in so it does not feel as if it will fall out as with the plastic sports band. The leather is a little rigid and may bleed a little of the color, but only at first. The leather yields quickly and becomes supple with wear. Obviously since this is leather you won't want to shower or swim with your Shine in this wristband, but it does have a nicer look, for wearing it to work. It's a little on the pricey side for what it is, but the quality is good and it seems like it will last a long while.

My fiance bought me the misfit shine for my birthday, he didn't like the sports band (said it looked cheap) after doing some research we found the black leather band, and we could both agree it is way nicer than the sports band. Overall love it, only downside is you can't really get it wet, but hey it looks good!

My wristband snapped two weeks into having the Flash, so after not finding Misfit makes a band for the Flash I went to Best Buy and found if I firmly put my Flash in this band it stayed. I have had it in there for a week. It works great.
