• A:Answer Thank you for your question. I was not able to find any keyboard protectors or skins for the 17-BS049DX model available on the site. I know that some third parties make them for this model but HP does not manufacture any for it.

Q: QuestionWish more current owners of this laptop would answer to settle this question. Is the keyboard is backlit or not? SPECS say yes, but 2 or 3 owners said no. It may be that they have it set to 'off' on the function row of keys and are not aware??

Q: QuestionI just purchased this laptop. The specs said backlit keyboard. The laptop I received does not have a backlit keyboard. Can someone clarify this which is correct. Is the one I have defective or is the info incorrect?

• A:Answer Yes, it is backlit. You have to turn it on is F5(I think, I'm not using it now.) Check the F keys. We found it by accident.
