“Manual says surround speakers are mainly for sound effects and sound will not come from them all the time. Is this accurate? My current Samsung DVD 5.1 system has surround speakers that do play sound all the time. Wanting to go wireless though.”

The two wireless speakers pick up the special effects sounds. Otherwise the wired three and the subwoofer carry the show.
