• Idk how manny watts but u can use the display without cutting the heat on.

• Hi Suzie, Such a great question! There are two switches on the front, one is for the fire itself and the other is for heat, so you can have both or just one on. It is 1400 watts, and heats up to a room size of 400 sq. ft. I hope this helps!
