Is the the side next to the screen (It is big) better bigger? I'm comparing two chrome books and one has a thinner side.

The one that I purchased it just fine in size and weight. It all depends on the individual. I recommend going to the BestBuy store and use your own opinion. If that option is available.

It doesn't really have much of a difference in size but if you ask me thinner the better.

I only have 2 other laptops to compare, but for this Acer Chromebook, I say the side is just right, because you need a place to grab as you adjust the angle for best viewing of the scene, especially of a streaming video. Very limited useful viewing angle of this screen is also my major displeasure with the unit.

This chromebook is slighlty smaller than the samsung one i perviously owned. It is also lighter.

I Do not suggest to anyone to buy those 2 Mb boxes because they are slow. I know they are cheap and appear great but they simply are horrible.
