“Can I install microsoft word and powerpoint on this computer ?”

• No, you cannot install anything really on this computer. All it installs is a link to the website. You can however, use basic Microsoft Office online if you have Office 365 subscription. If I need higher end Microsoft Office capabilities, I just use Google Remote Desktop to connect to my more powerful computer online and use it that way.

• No, you cannot install programs on the Chromebook. It runs off apps primarily. If you can find an app version of those programs they may be usable.

• Only online versions which are available for free from Microsoft. Also Google docs has alternative for both.

• No, you can't install any Microsoft apps (or any non-browser apps for that matter) on a Chromebook.

• Yes..You have to purchase microsoft office at there annual rate. Contact google help desk.
