My wife uses it for her blog. It is great for that, and online stuff. No disc drive though.

The only downside would be if your'e not familiar with the Google word processing/spreadsheet products. They can do all the basic things that' you'll need to do but there is a bit of a learning curve. For the price and portability this machine would be great for researching, typing up notes and carrying from class to class.
