You cannot install traditional PC/Mac programs on a chromebook as it uses a completely different OS. However, there is a spotify app you can use that works great, and Google hangouts is just as good as Skype.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Google Chromebooks run Google apps available through the Google App Store. If the game is available there as a Google app, then you can install it. The Chromebook doesn't have an internal memory, it's all in Cloud storage so I'm not sure how gaming would work really. The Google Chrome format runs Google apps and visits websites. It doesn't support Skype or Spotify yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.These are a bit different that a standard PC. The Chomebook is built around the Chrome Browser/OS. You can install games from Chrome Web Store. Yes, you can install Spotify. As for Skype, you can use the web application or use Hangouts. My recommendation would be to get a Chromebook with more than 2GB of RAM. I have the Acer, and while I like it, I would definitely splurge for the extra ram.
