THe screen dimmer is the thing on the keyboard that looks like the sun. Theres a big one and a little one on the top keyboard, next to the mute button. Screen resolution is the 5th button from the right

Should that fail you can unplug the tablet from power and hold the power button down for 30 second to see if that does anything, if not, it may require service.
