• No, but you can create/edit MS Word and Excel files by downloading an Office extension on the Chrome Web store.

• with the newest chromebook update it will allow you to install the Microsoft suite from the playstore

• Yes you can, I'm currently in the process of reviewing this Chromebook, my first experience with a Chromebook.You can download Word and Excel from the Google Play store. It's the Office 354 version, not the full version you'd install on a Windows or Mac computer. If you have a 365 subscription, you can edit your Word and Excel files saved on the cloud.
