“Trying to hook this up as a second monitor. 1st one is connected w/ DVI & I have oculus Rift connected to my pc’s only hdmi,port. I bought a display port to hdmi adaptor to connect this but it’s not working. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks”

I can’t say for certain - but I would be willing to bet it’s because it’s not a bi-directional cable. It probably only works one way. So it’s likely designed to have the cables ends/connectors the opposite of the direction you have them. So instead of display port > HDMI, it probably only works if it’s HDMI (computer) > display port (monitor).
