It depends, first what is better priced? I faced times when the i5-7300 HQ was "maxed" while playing stuff like Battlefield 1, while the newer i5-8xxx did handle it better. However the non-ti graphics can also be an issue. Bottom line is, if the game you are using is GPU heavy, go with teh 1050 ti, CPU heavy, the newer version. Word of advice, the newer one runs hot, the CPU regularly hits 90C-94C, undervolting slightly helped.
