Disregard the specs, these little machines are quick and responsive. As long as you aren't trying to edit videos or play hardcore games, these devices are very quick! My wife and I bought two 4gb ram HP laptops for online school, but they were always freezing, these haven't skipped a beat yet! 2gb of RAM is all you need, as they run "mobile" office which is much more efficient. I am cranking out word docs and powerpoints like a boss with no problems. The only thing you will need is a microSD card ($20 ish for 64gb) and you won't have any storage problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want to only type, consider another cheaper alternative because you won't really utilize the full performance of this laptop, hence not worth the money. Plus there is a keyboard defect where the keys get obstructed while typing.

Basic office applications and things like Kindle are not very demanding of CPU power. we got one of these (or very similar) so that my wife would have a keyboard machine for writing on the go. If it is what we got it is essentially a Windows based tablet, reasonable performance for basic apps, with decent connectivity. Yes, the specs are limited, but may be enough for users with limited needs. My wife is happy with hers, given that she also has a much more powerful business laptop as well as a desktop computer if there is a performance problem. I waffled over a recommendation for my wife because I require a high end PC and graphics performance is a focus for me, but with some study, I fully understand what my wife needed for her usage, and I bought her some thing like this.
