Yes... and no. For Apple Car Play to work you need to plug your phone into a physical cable (there is a USB cable provided that you can plug any Apple USB cable into.) I use Android Auto but the concept is the same. You can't use every app, but Google Maps/ Apple Maps are compatible. YouTube, for example, won't appear as an option. Overall it is pretty fantastic. Bluetooth doesn't power Android Auto, and I'm pretty sure Apple Auto is the same, but the nice thing is your phone charges while you are using that mode.
