YOU CAN OPEN THE LID DURING THE WASH CYCLE BUT IT WILL STOP TEMPORARILY WHEN LID IS OPEN, BUT IT WILL CONTINUE THE WASH CYCLE AFTER LID IS CLOSED AGAIN. IT DOESN'T LOCK AFTER LID IS CLOSED WHICH I LIKE.

Please try again later.Yes you can, you got to push the start/cancel button once, that will pause the wash and release the lock,( ex.: If you want to put and extra t-shirt), then close the lid and push back the start/cancel button once, it will lock and resume the wash. If the lid is open more then 10 minutes(wash will be cancel and water drain).
