“How do I get the built in Alexa in my 55inch omni series to control the smart lights and plugs in the same room? I have smart life app on my phone and all devices are recognised but the Alexa on the TV is not seeing them.”

You will have to add the skill to Alexa on the Alexa app. Then set up the device (smart lights) in the app. You can make it a part of a room (recommended) and give both the lights and the room a name. Then it should work thru the TV voice controls.
