• Yes if you have the right tv (alexa enabled) or you will have to buy a separate device(IR Blaster) to control your tv via Alexa as well.

• It will not control a TV by itself. There are three ways in which it can control a TV: 1) Your TV has the function to connect to the echo directly, 2) You have a Logitech Hub, or compatible alternative, that can control devices, or 3) You have a Fire TV Cube.

• I can use my Echo Show to control my Sony Bravia XBR-65X850E television. It turns the TV on, off, and adjusts the volume. Unfortunately, I cannot use it to change channels as that is a function of the cable box and not the the television.
