Both of these devices are similar in function and feature set with the below exceptions that are additional features (other than screen size) of the Show 8: 1.) 13 MP front facing camera for better picture quality for snapshots and video calls vs 2 MP on the Show 5 2.) Auto framing feature for the Show 8 camera to keep you in focus and centered in the field of vision when in front of the device (the device is stationary and does not rotate) 3.) 2 speakers that are 2" in size on the Show 8 vs 1.7" on the Show 5 adding a better sound quality that fills a room better 4.) 1280 x 800 resolution display on the Show 8 vs 960 x 480 resolution on the Show 5 I hope this answers your question and you have a great day!
