• Hello joy! You can use the tablet without registering it but it would be limited in its features. During the initial setup of the device you can either sign in with an existing Amazon service or sign up for a free account directly in the tablet setup steps. It is simple and doesn't require any subscription or purchases to register and will allow you to be able to download apps and use the tablet to its fullest intent.
