When I set up my Fire tablet, all my Kindle purchased in my other Kindle white automatically downloaded or appear for downloading. You can also treat it like your second Kindle

Though, if you only want to use your Amazon Fire Tablet for reading purposes, you might want to purchase one of the current [2019] Amazon Kindle E-readers so you may enjoy reading without the "glaring/bright" effect that you might receive from the Fire Tablet's screen. Or maybe look into purchasing a MATTE screen protector or some other type of screen protector that reduces the "glare" you might get from reading from the Amazon Fire Tablet. Hope this help!
