• Yes... But not all apps work on amazon... One that doesn't is Instagram... Don't despair there are ways to do it... Do a YouTube or Google search....

• No you cannot. Google Play requires an Android device. This Kindle is NOT an Android device. So the only apps that you can download have to be from Amazon.com. Sorry about that.
