Get rid of cable box, all you need is the internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The device is a streaming stick. It has access to apps such as Netflix and Hulu. It will not require an antenna. It will need a Wifi connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I rid myself of cable and satellite and I like this better. I had to subscribe to a streaming service for live tv and my locals. I also bought an expensive antenna but it would not work in my location. If you go through Direct TV Now, Sling or Hulu Live you would be able to watch live tv in addition to Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will still need an internet provider and a streaming service provider such as Hulu, DirectTV Now, etc. Depending upon the provider, you may need a separate digital antenna to get your local TV stations. DiectTV Now provides local TV in our area, but Hulu does not, for example. Make sure you check your providers local TV ability if that is important for you. One other thing, certain syndicated broadcasts - for example Jeopardy - will not stream to this stick at least from certain providers. I watch Jeopardy religiously, but it wont stream to my fire TV stick using DirectTV Now, so I have to use my local antenna, but that isn't really a major issue for me. Also the antenna also picks up all of the subbands(?) that a channel broadcasts, not just the main frequency that is supplied by DirectTV Now. For example. Channel 7 in our area broadcasts on 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, & 7.4. The content is different on all, but DirectTV Now only provides the channel 7.1 content. Hope this helps!
