• don't think so. haven't tried since local channels are so easily available without the fire stick

• I subscribe to youtube tv and that provides local channels. some other similar subscription services offer local channels also. An external antenna will also get you local channels. If you are adventurous, you may want to install KODI that has many apps you can choose from and maybe get local tv that way. KODI is free.
