If the receiver has an HDMI input, the Firestick may work through there. If it doesn't then you may need to check the manual to see if they’re only ‘passthrough’ ports (to the HDMI output port). If you have an older receiver, then you need to plug the Firestick into an available port on your TV, and then run a digital optical or coaxial cable from the TV output ports to an available optical/coaxial input port on your receiver.
