Do I need to connect to WiFi to use this kindle? null

you will need wifi to download books, but you do not need it to read any previously downloaded items in your library

Hi Gwash,No, you do not need to stay connected to Wi-Fi to use your Kindle Paperwhite for reading.Once you've downloaded books (or other content) to your device, you can read them completely offline. The Kindle stores the files locally on the device, so reading works just fine without any internet connection — perfect for travel, camping, airplanes, or anywhere without Wi-Fi.Hope you have a good day.
