As far as I can tell, it is only for power. The USB-A ports allow data transfer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can be used for both, but for charging you have to have a USB charging block. I use a BestBuy 60 watt charging block with the one I own. I also purchased USB-C to USB-A adapters so that I can charge all of my devices be they type A or C USB devices.
