With a metal layer on the roof, blocking the reception I would highly recommend you do a trial and error. I am against putting holes in the roof, I have attempted to attic route, and found success. I would highly recommend ClearStream Antenna. Maybe the 4 Max because you are 55 miles away, and make sure you point it in the direction of towers for best reception.
