“From the photos I've seen it appears that this antenna does not need to be high up in the air above the roof. Many have it next to their tele. I live 59 miles from LA. Not sure if I need to look for an antenna mast. Should I? Thanks.”

I did not need to install this outside and it picked up more channels than I imagined. The key is logging on to the website they provide to know where the towers are. You can also place it where you want and then perform a scan and play with the location where you receive the most channels.

Please try again later.Hi, indoor placement of the antenna and the number of channels you will receive when placed indoors next to your TV does depend on where you live, and if the antenna is facing the broadcast towers. LA has a lot of TV towers, and you should receive more than 100 channels. The ClearStream 2MAX includes both an indoor base stand and a 20" mast (coaxial cable sold separately).
