Not if you have a newer flat panel tv, yes if you have a tube tv

If you have a TV that was manufactured after I believe 2008, it should have a digital scanner in it. If the TV was recently purchased from a store new all you have to do is hook the antenna to the TV and scan for channels.

Only if you have the older tube type TVs. Any of the newer flat screen TVs (after 2007) usually have the ATSC/NTSC tuners built in.

You would need digital converter box to see HD on an old tv. In reality there is nothing digital in the antenna.

No, assuming you are using a modern digital TV. All transmissions are digital now - if few are true 1080p High Definition.

No, mine went straight into the antenna coax connection in the back of the TV
