• Thinking it would be better near one of the TV'S. It needs a power source. Where ever you plug it in it will power the whole system.

• Why? I just ran the 25' coax down to where my splitter was and inserted the amplifier there because it was next to a power source. Eliminated the need to run power up to the antenna. Unless of course that's where your splitter is located. Don't know of many attics wired with power outlets. DON'T use an extension cord.
