Putting it inside will block a little of the range, but even when I tested mine inside I got the 6 channels the website said I would. Heck, but it, try it, return it if it doesn’t work!

I use an indoor antenna in northwest Indiana, specifically: Valparaiso. With that I pull in all Chicago stations and South Bend. You should easily pick-up every channel offered in/around Chicago....maybe with even an indoor antenna. Those even have up to 65 mile range. Try it and see. If it doesn't work, you can return and exchange.

Based on antennas direct website you should get over 100 channels
