You can install this antenna anywhere. I have mine sitting in a nook near the ceiling in my living room and it works very well. If you already have a setup in your attic, simply swap antennas.

It is possible for the Clearstream 4 Max to work in an attic, but a tin roof is likely to interfere with the signal before it gets to the antenna. I recommend trying the antenna with a temporary installation in the attic to see how well it works in your attic.
