“I am having trouble receiving a signal from 40 miles away, NBC out of Rhinelander WI, with my 4 Max antennae. I have tried downloaded apps to assist in aiming the antennae. On a clear day i get NBC but any fog or rain and I lose it. Any suggestions?”

Put the antenna by an open door or window. When we have trouble getting CBS, I open the interior door and only the storm door is closed. That works. Then, I can close the door. It reminds me of Internet cookies. Once it has the signal and the picture and sound are clear, it seems to retain it when I shut the door. I really think you have not found the optimum position for your antenna. Ours always works on a 30 to 40 degree angle from the wall. It does not work straight, turned the opposite way, or with both screws of the antenna against the wooden bench that the TV is on.
