• I believe this one is the 7th generation. I wish they gave the specs. 7th gen allows connection to flash drive and is more like computer..check Apple website.

• Latest model means that it’s a 7th generation Ipad for 2019.

• When I bought this for Christmas, “latest model” means 7th generation and this is what I got.

• I researched and do not need further replies. Thanks to those that did reply. This their newest option, but not their best option. There are other options with better specifications.

• The latest generation for the ipad mini is gen 5. It has either 64 GB or 256 GB and has a super fast processor. I think the one sold at Best Buy is the Gen 4.
