If you want back up your ipad in the cloud (icloud), during the set up, it will ask you if you want to set up the ipad as a new ipad or you want to transfer your back up. I used the backup, and all of the apps, set up, and photos were transferred to the new ipad. Very useful and convenient.

Please try again later.If the old and new iPad are running the latest iOS, make sure both iPads are on the same network and have Bluetooth enabled: your New iPad should detect your old and ask if you want to transfer - from then on it’s as simple as taking a picture (literally) and you’re off. If this doesn’t work, you can always do and iCloud backup on your old iPad that can then be used to restore your data onto the new iPad!
