• iPads are available as Wi-Fi + Cellular models. However, this particular model is a Wi-Fi only iPad.

• Yes you can I took my Sim out of my t-mobile table and put it in my iPad air and it works fine

• wifi carrier is just wifi that you can get from anywhere. if you have xfinity you can set up your iPad to that wifi. However if you only bought the iPad that doesn’t have cellular add on you cannot import your verizon sim card. You would need to buy the iPad that has WiFi and Cellular capabilities.
