Yes I use procreate on mine. Get a good apple pen and you’re all set.

Absolutely. Easily my most used app, and this generation can even use the gen 2 Apple Pencil, so even better!

The iPad Air works great with Procreate and is compatible with the latest version of the Apple Pencil. The Air does not have quite as good a display as the iPad Pro, but unless you are doing true professional creative work / workflows, the Air should be fine.
