i don’t believe so! i leave it plugged in and i never had it get hot! only when it’s plugged into phone

I’d say it gets warm, but not hot. Also, I’m assuming you mean when it is IN USE. When not in use, it doesn’t get warm at all. At least from my personal experience with the product. I have an iPhone XR, which benefits from the chargers fast charging feature. Obviously make sure it has proper air flow and is not under a pillow or blanket. Hope you have a good experience with it!

I haven’t experienced a heat build-up with the charger, but I have to admit that it’s plugged in a receptacle that I don’t often think to touch.
