“How long do these work on average? I've had some below-par earbuds that would last on average 2-3 weeks, have audio play in one ear, then stop completely. I hope I don't have a similar experience with this product.”

Mine usually last about a year or so and I use them almost every night.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on what you use them for and how you use them. They will last longer if you don't constantly move them from one device to another. Mine lasted for a year but I was very rough with them - gym workout got sweat in them; moved from iPod to iPad to iMac a lot; yanked them hard when they got caught on something; dropped one ear piece in a cup of water by accident...pretty rough. They last a very long time. By the way, the one I got wet played at a low volume until it dried out completely on it's own. Then it worked just fine. Also, these don't have the problem of the connection getting kinked at the base of the plug. I yanked it one too many times and the force finally broke it. One side still worked so I just cut off the dead side and used the working side in my car for hands-free GPS. I highly recommend these Apple earbuds. These are well designed. I always have a new pair on standby. Buy only from Best Buy or Apple as there are knockoffs out there that look the same and sound good but last only a few weeks or a couple months at most. Buy authentic only.
