QuestionI am purchasing this model to replace a 3 GEN model. What do I do to wipe the 3rd GEN clean to remove apps and data before putting on EBAY ? .Thanks

- Answer I just gave my old model to husband. There is a process. Basically self explanatory. Clean slate is to remove all apps, instructions are in user guide. iBooks should have your user guide or go to apple site. Restore and remove your apple account from device. There is a section to give instructions on treating as new iPad. Good luck.

- Answer Hello Mimi, The iPad 9.7 just released in March, 2018 is what would be considered a "6th generation". The "5th generation" model is from 2017. It is sometimes confusing because many features are the same as well as the price. The March, 2018 model supports the Apple Pencil whereas the 5th generation model does not. There are also other modifications on the new iPad, but I do not know them yet except for a faster processor and possible 4 speakers instead of 2.

- Answer I bought mine, backed everything to the cloud and every night I would plug it in too charge. With it plugged in, I turned off the computer. I did this everyday for 7 days and after that I have had no issues at all.

- Answer If you are buying the model with a cellular plan and shipping it out of the country you need to make sure it is unlocked so that it can work on any carrier that your family or friend uses. Make sure you get one with the proper carrier for your family or friend in that country.

QuestionI can't get this to go into sleep mode, even when enclosed within my Zagg case. What am I doing wrong? It's so frustrating to have a charge when I put it down at the end of the day then find the battery has completely drained over night. Argggh!

- Answer You should be able to go to Settings, then Display and Brightness. Change the Auto-lock to 2 minutes. Your tablet should be asleep after 2 minutes

- Answer Yes it does accept the upgrade to ios11 BUT before you can install it you will have to connect to iTunes ( via the charge cable)and download the upgrade. You cannot upgrade without doing in that order( as opposed to connecting to wi-fi and upgrading).

- Answer I was debating buying a keyboard case as well but opted for the Logitech multi device k480 keyboard. That way if I ever get a new device I can use the same one, and it lets me quickly switch the keyboard from typing on my iPhone to my iPad or computer

- Answer I think battery is supposed to last 10 hours. I just got it and in a few hours was down 40% from 100% to 64% left. I have a lot of trouble shutting it down as I disabled the fingerprint code as I don't use it outside of my home. You have to constantly shut it down if you are not using it is my suggestion
